London Restaurants
Recommendations for restaurants in London that we have been to with children and had a good time! These aren’t necessarily restaurants “for kids” but rather great restaurants where the team have been very welcoming and we’d be happy to take our kids to again.

Jesse’s House, Parsons Green
A private members’ club specifically designed for young families. It transformed my maternity leave experience when it opened and has been amazing ever since for it’s great soft play area, classes for both adults and children, and wonderful creche team.
Fulham Palace, Hammersmith & Fulham
Beautiful gardens for little ones to run around in. I also love the events they hold throughout the year including Apple Day (think harvest festival with street food, loads of fresh produce, music and children’s entertainment), Christmas Fair and outdoor theatre productions in the summer.
chelsea physic gardens
A lovely spot close to Sloane Square with cafe and interesting events throughout the year. Their Christmas Fair is particularly lovely for picking up gifts and enjoying a mulled wine as you wander through.
WWT London Wetland Centre
Wonderful day out that feels as though you are out of London, with loads of areas to explore and things to learn about the environment and the animals that inhabit the wetlands. Also has a great playground, adventure course and splash pad for children.
REGENT’S PARK OPEN AIR THEATRE (SUMMER)
Set within the beautiful surroundings of Regent’s Park, the Open Air Theatre offers incredible outdoor theatre experiences including full-scale musical productions. Check the age recommendations to find the best option for your children’s ages.
LYRIC Hammersmith theatre
Loads of productions for children throughout the year. We’ve had really good experiences with our toddler there, including productions of Dear Zoo and The Enormous Crocodile.

The DONKEY SAnctuary, Sidmouth
A fantastic free day out for animal-loving families, The Donkey Sanctuary is home to hundreds of rescued donkeys set within beautiful countryside near Sidmouth.
FURZEY GARDENS, NEW FOREST
Woodland garden in the heart of the New Forest, Furzey Gardens is a magical place for families to explore. Wander along winding paths, discover hidden fairy doors and (when we went) enjoy the adventure of their dinosaur trail. A cute café, shop and plenty of space for little ones to roam.
